Yen Press She Loves To Cook She Loves To Eat Volume 3 Review Finale

Bonus Content Ends With You Are What You Backpack
So we wrap up Volume 3 with Bonus Content. We start Volume 4 in May with Kasuga and Nomoto finally ready to confess their love to each other.

While they’re awake. And !listening. And stuff like that. Yay? Anyway we end with Wako getting the ladies to visit a site that helps you make custom backpacks.

I assume this is a site visible in our IRL world, and the creator of this manga has been there before. Maybe even made a backpack or two before. Backpacks are way too nebulous for my taste. So no.

It’s a nice thing overall. I wish it ended with Kasuga & Nomoto having confessed their feelings for each other. But that is something for the end of Spring I suppose. Anyway it’s over with. It will be awhile before Volume 4. Stay tuned.

I’m getting all stocked up on Fly Me To The Moon. Get all caught up now that my return is finally here. So hey. Starting next weekend we dive into Volume 20, and get back on track.

Last we saw? Nasa and his wife… Better not say too much, we are deep into spoilers if you are watching the Anime… Tsukasa are dealing with the past. Only to run into Kaguya and friends.

So will we finally reach a major revelation about a certain character related to Tsukasa? Guess we will find out next weekend. Meanwhile it’s time to wrap up Assorted Entanglements Volume 4. Coming tomorrow. See you.

Kasuga Loves Nomoto… Now Just Tell Her!
Yeah. It’s now the worst kept secret that Kasuga Loves Nomoto. Pretty Much everyone in this small group now knows. Except Nomoto. Sigh.

Kasuga tells Yako. Kasuga’s new winglady figured it out… Given how blatant Kasuga is of course she knows. She just needs to tell Nomoto and we are set.

Anyway watch a meal transform into a memorable experience before your eyes… Which you’ll see more of it you buy the series for yourself. Naturally.

Well we have a few post Chapter stuff. And that we will tackle tomorrow. But sufficient to say I guess we have to wait until May to see how this relationship grows. In Volume 4. Coming soon.

So here is to hoping Volume 4 is not the end of this series. But we will see. Anyway good news. My returns are imminent. So I’ll order Case Closed Season 6-10 (Chinese Malaysian Bootleg version soon.

Also I’ll get up to date with Fly Me To The Moon. Which means we launch into Volume 20 next werkend. Otherwise? It’s back to the island of the Toga Clad ladies in Wonder Woman 1975. Next.

Yen Press She Loves To Cook She Loves To Eat Volume 3 Review Chapter Twenty-Seven (Digital)

The cast meets as a group for the first time!
So there really isn’t much to say. New neighbor? Sugmoto. She apparently is going to be Kasuga’s close confidant. Since they both have varying degrees of eating disorders.

Nomoto & Yako (no relation to Wako) are paired because they’re both foodie influencers and fabulous friends. Anyway, shaken up by the bold move of touching Nomoto’s face last Chapter by Kasuga? Monitor needs Yako to meet her.

She does tell Nomoto right off the bat that she’s not sure how meeting Kasuga will endow her with the advice Nomoto craves about her feelings for Kasuga, but she agrees to the meet.

Kasuga decides she needs back up before meeting Yako. So she invites new friend and confidant Sugmoto along. Despite the fact part of her phobia is public eating. Well… This is a safe place so she will be in good company.

So they arrive and it’s time for the lot to get to know each other. And since this is a good themed romance? We are busting out simple curry… With a bit so simp!e power play twist by Nomoto!

Well… I think it’s a power play twist. It’s certainly new to me. Hey. If anyone can tell me more about her choice? Let me know. I’m learning so much about food just reviewing this! And not just the stuff I love eating.

We are actually just about done with the Volume. But this is a long Chapter. And a lot happens here. So I split it up. We finish Volume 3 next weekend. Meanwhile it’s back to Assorted Entanglements tomorrow… And we start March Sadness tomorrow with…

As promised! I got it today digitally so tomorrow? Barbarella. From 1968, starting Jane Fonda. Not to be confused with the extremely rare Barbarella Stage Musical. Debuted in Vinenna Austria in 2004. And ended 2004. And never opened anywhere else. Ever.

Oh. DON’T type Barbarella Play Vienna if your looking for this play. That leads to… Jane Fonda and Barbarella porn. Seriously dont. It’s Barbarella Musical. FYI. Anyway we take a trip to the 41st Century tomorrow. To stop the evil Mirror Universe version of music group Duran Duran. Solo Evil Scientist Durand Durand… Sigh. See you.

Yen Press She Loves To Cook She Loves To Eat Volume 3 Review Chapter Twenty-Six (Digital)

You Are Born To The Family You Got. No Matter How Painful They Are To Be With.
So here it is. The harsh words. Those words? Uh… Actually? Not so harsh. Maybe it’s because of my jaded attitude. I’ve seen too many broken family movies, and had my own siblings, to call this bad.

It’s horrible. But not word eise. Apparently Kagusa has been hiding from her father. Cutting all ties with him. Why? Would you be surprised to learn he’s an old school male chauvinist pig? Nope.

Yeah. Loves his male offspring, puts down his daughter Kasuga. Even now, coming hat in hand begging for help, he can’t help himself. He has to grind her down even as he begs.

Or demands because chauvinist seem to be one part entitled pricks. But yeah. Turns out Kasuga’s grandmother, the one who lived her when her father demeaned her? She’s fallen to alzheimers.

If you had me name the worst three illnesses anyone can be struck down by? It’s Cancer (claimed my mom), Alzheimer’s (afflicted my dad up until he died) and cataracts (what my eye doctor has to laser out of my eyes on the regular). Things I have lots of experience with.

She’s now being cared for by the mom. The dad? Too much of an asshole. He thinks his women should care for her. His wife, his daughter… What an ass. Don’t worry. Not even a long rage filled begging rant will bring her back.

Which is kinda sad. I’m order to stay out of her manipulative controlling father’s hands? She will not be able to see her grandmother again. She can’t even go to her funeral. Sad.

At the end of the Chapter? Kasuga finally reached the same conclusion as Nomoto. She wants Nomoto to be her family. No. Not her mom or grandmom. She admits she’s in love with her.

A rather frustrating Chapter, where it ends happily as Kasuga admits she’s in love with Nomoto. Hence the stage is set. Valentine’s is coming, and they’re ready to confess their love! Kisses incoming!

So that should end the volume. Yes? Their confession to each other of their love. That should be… Awesome! Yes? Yes. Anyway that should be coming soon. New Chapter tomorrow! See you!

Note. I’m taking the night off DVD and movie review wise. I have a movie in mind to start March, but I need to buy it digitally first from the Amazon Prime app. I’m almost there. One of two surveys and I’m there. Stay tuned.

Hint? We travel back to the 60’s! We see a movie starting a lady best known for… Bad mouthing America because of the Vietnam War. A movie that was never revisited again outside of a small batch of recent comics.

That and… A 21st Century stage play that hit the stage in Vienna, Austria! Best known for having an ultra rare limited Original Cast Recording CD that was given to contest winners back in the day!

Also Japanese creator Takachiho Haruka said once this movie inspired him to create The Dirty Pair! By now you probably already guessed, but we go gunning for evil ray cannons meant to bring evil back to the galaxy! As we start March Sadness! Stay tuned!

Donuts Made At Home… Huh?
This will be short. And ends with ANOTHER WARNING! Sigh. Hey. Nomoto invites Kasuga & the New girl over to teach them how to make homemade donuts.

Complete with setting dough. Apparently she has been up the longest of the three. Since she made dough, and gave it enough time to rise, before she invites the two over.

We learn a bit about how to make donuts all in our own. And we learn that the new girl realizes that Kasuga & Nomoto may be in love. Also Nomoto learns more about the new girl.

Apparently something happened. Because the end shows Nomoto sending the image of the donuts to Yako. And a DM asking for HELP!… Why? Because she had donuts with Kasuga? Because she is having problems making friends with the new girl?

Anyway the new warning? Not much of a warning. But… It warns you that there will be a family member saying bad words to someone. Is this the new girl’ family? Kasuga? Nomoto?

I don’t think we need to split the next Chapter. We have all been exposed to bad words before. In real life and in mangs. So we are going to be ok… I think.

Anyway we will get a new review Volume started tomorrow. And return to this on the weekend. So we will keep rolling on. Stay tuned eh? Thanks.

Yen Press She Loves To Cook She Loves To Eat Volume 3 Review Chapter Twenty-Five Part 1 (Digital)

This Review Is A Real Balcony-Hanger!
Why do another two parter? This time I did it because we have our new female character (I’ll memorize her name soon I swear) bringing a conclusion to get opening introduction.

The scene is presented in its entirety for the most part. Except the end where she admits that, if she didn’t have an eating disorder? She might still be with her family. Kasuga agrees.

And so do I. I love my family alot… When they’re not stealing or wanting me dead. But they had a hard time dealing with my sister’s eating disorder. And that put strain on our already sometimes strained family. So yeah. I agree with her sentiment about family.

I still find it a welcoming surprise. That this seemingly simple romance manga hides a deep discussion on eating disorders. It’s a bit shocking, but ultimately a welcomed discussion in my opinion. Since, from personal experience, it’s not an easy topic to face.

So everyone is up at this late hour. And we find out that Kasuga does things when she can’t sleep… And Nomoto? She cooks. But that’s next time.

Nomoto starts the Chapter. Why can’t she sleep? Because Yako talked her into doing a chocolate exchange with Kasuga on Valentine’s Day… Huh? Isn’t it give chocolate on Valentine’s Day, get back chocolate on White Day?

Anyway just thinking of gifting chocolate to Kasuga has Nomoto up. And when the going gets tough, the tough… Teaches us all how to make homemade donuts! That’s tomorrow! Homemade donuts! Yum! See you tomorrow! (Also the duo has become a trio!)

Let’s wrap this up. At the end of the Chapter it looks like Nomoto & Kasuga are making plans for Valentine’s Day. Looking good.

This week we wrap up The Two Of Them Are Pretty Much Like This Volume 3. Next week I guess we dive into what might be the end of Assorted Entanglements. Maybe. I’ll let you know more once I learn about it myself when I pick up Volume 4.

So… Things are rolling along. And hey. I asked the Lady Missionaries to pray for me since I’m going to surgery in two and a half weeks. Then again all prayers are welcome.

Anyway I was out late with the Lady Missionaries today, so let’s hurry along. My review of Case Closed is next.

Ok it’s time. I’m going to let the content speak for itself here. The Chapter I warned of since awhile now. Here we go…

I should have an update on Asdorted Entanglements by Tuesday. Stay tuned.

Families Are Like That… Yes. Yes They Are.
That seems to be the mantra of this Chapter. Families are like that. And while I can’t speak for all families? Personal experience says I agree with this sentiment.

So we wrap up the introduction. And it ends with a rather nice moment of Kasuga thinking of Nomoto. So that’s beautiful. However we continue into Dark Places next weekend.

Sad since I’m celebrating my 22nd Anniversary as a Reviewer this month. I have had great bargains handed to me on digital so I’ve celebrated this year by building my collection virtually.

Yes yes. We don’t really own our virtual collections. My lost was investments in my PSP & 3DS collections of the past paying testament to that. But I have my DVD vollection. So there.

Now onto the trigger warning. The image of the warning is below, but lets go over the wording as we wrap this look up…

From the Author and Editorial Team:
The following Chapter Includes:
– Depiction of vomiting
– Depictions that may trigger deipnophobia (fear of dining in front of others)
– Microaggressions
Please read at your own discesion.

Sigh. Most of the warnings make sense. After all its now clear that this title tackles some hefty issues. I comment it for tackling these hard to fave topics. But… Microaggressions? Sigh. Yeah. If this truly is 100% translated from the original? Then yeah… I don’t know what yo make of that. Anyone?

So this is it. Next weekend? We break down the Chapter in question. Before that its back to Wako & Sakuma. Yay. See you.

When Journeying Into Dark Places…
Today we set up for the Trigger Warnings Chapter next weekend. Fittingly we drove into an arc called Dark Places. Because surely we are indeed delving into the dark places of the human condition.

I have presented the first half of the Chapter here for you to digest on your own. No cuts, and none of my remarks. Digest it fully, and tomorrow we continue with the second part.

Of note we find out the name of our new character who just moved in, as Her backstory behind to play out today and tomorrow. It may seem like a short bit to go over but the topic is deathly serious. So if you need to take a break? Do so. This review won’t vanish anywhere I assure you. We will be here when you get back.

Eventually due to space constraints the images might vanish. You would then have to buy the manga to read it for yourself. But this is a warning for future readers of this review. FYI.

So that’s the intro. Part 2 ipof the first part is tomorrow. See you. And if anyone wants to discuss the topic? Post in the comments. Remember the severity of the topic as you post. Thanks.
