Square Enix The Maid I Hired Recently Is Mysterious Volume 6 Bonus (Digital)

Kiss Kiss Blush Blush
Well with Death On The Nile wrapping up and the wait for Volume 7 of Maid being about a half a year? We end our review of six with a bonus story of Kisses And Blushes.

Suddenly, now that Yuri is more at peace with being in love with Lilith, he wants to kiss her more. That visibly upsets her a bit… But he still wants it nevertheless.

Maybe it should be a sign that his feelings aren’t going to be returned as she has to be prompted to kiss him. So far he’s missed her cheek. She kisses… His forehead.

Well she is a bit tall so he can’t easily kiss her forehead. But… Oh well. I’m still thinking she will be revealed to be a previously unknown Sister In Law… If Richie Jerk doesn’t interfere.

Ok ok. We will let that plot point simmer for six months as we wait to review it come October 2024. Yes it’s on sale September 25th but I probably won’t review it right away. Stay tuned.

So that killed a little time. Great. I ended up being fed spicy soup and I’m sweating just from spicy soup. Ugh. My Caregiver might be the reincarnation of Noah. So obsessed with flooding. Anyway moving on. See you.

Square Enix The Maid I Hired Recently Is Mysterious Volume 6 Review Chapter Fifty-Five Part 1 (Digital)

A Trip To See Lilith’s Former Boss…
Remember Natsume? The shark toothed maid who arrived back in Volume 5 to try and steal Lilith back to her Master’s manor?

Turns out today we get to see the manor. It’s located in a town and is quite impressive. Also it looks as if Natsume hasn’t built up the courage yet to admit her feelings to get boss yet.

OR… Spoilers… This whole trip is a trap and it looks like the master of this major might not be the good guy you may have thought him to be from Volume 5.

Yeah yeah. Tomorrow is going to end in a bit of a cliffhanger. As the master of this house wants to talk to Yuri. I’m pretty sure they’re not going to trade Nintendo SWITCH game recommends.

Ugh. Seriously? We are going to spend the next 5 months wondering if beardy mcbeatd is going to try and bully Yuri into giving Lilith to him? What an asshole.

Yes yes. I might be reading too much into this. Thing is he might be ready to admit his feelings for Natsume. So why talk to Yuri? Natsume no doubt said tons on how unabashfully bold Yuri is admitting his feelings.

MAYBE he wants to be as bold as Yuri? But can’t bring himself to admit his feelings. And needs the help of a young man to say he loves Natsume.

Look. Either he’s incompetent at love it is a total asshole. Either way making us wait five months for the reveal won’t look good for beardy no matter what.

Maybe tomorrow’s closing review will alleviate my fears? Probably not. Lilith reunites with the head maid of this manor. Maybe their interactions hints at what the master’s plan is.

Ugh. I hate annoying cliffhangers. I got that ever since the 90s and Star Trek end of Season cliffhangers. Ugh. Anyway tomorrow Volume 6 ends. See you.

Feed Your Rule34… Ugh.
So this is a short end. Touha apologized for being mean to Lilith. To which she says it’s ok. And she’s happy that he and Yuri are friends once more.

And who knows? Maybe he will make new friends before the series draws to a close. After all its popular enough to get a first season of an Anime so… Eh.

Yuri ruins the feel good moment by laying claim to Lilith. Awkward! Anyway in a bonus panel at the void between Chapters, Yuri is accused of having a breast fetish with Lilith…

Ugh. No. Just no writer. You implied enough Rule34 for one Chapter. Sigh. Anyway we wrap up with Chapter 55 tomorrow. Then… Guess we head back to Fly Me To The Moon.

Volume 21. As revelatory as Volume 15 I guess. As the secret Tokiko had regarding the past is finally revealed. Which leads to… An entire flashback volume. This time? I’ll review it. Because… I bought it so I’m reviewing it.

Monday, a few days ahead of May Day, we dive into the Ben Dunn MCU. Or what an Antarctic Press inspired MCU led by Ben Dunn would look like…

Spoilers… This opening arc scratched an itch in Dirty Pair OELManga creator Adam Warren. One MARVEL later fulfilled by giving him a mini series arc in the actual Fantastic Four comic.

The start of the Mangaverse… Then, one month event and 7 “ongoing” issues later? It’s end… Yeah it didn’t last very long. This Antarctic-fied MCU. Anyway that’s Monday. See you.

VIZ Komi Can’t Communicate Volume 14 Review Opener Chapter One Hundred & Eighty-Two (Digital)

Katai Ai Has Arrived!
So we roll into Volume 14. Probably near the end of Season 3… If my theory holds out. Anyway this is a flashback to before the present summer arc… Which is why Hitomi & Shosuke are in school.

This year Ai Has moved up to first year high school, at a school that isn’t Komi/Hitohito/Makoto’s. As far as she’s concerned? She’s just too bad add for the whole school.

She will learn soon enough that she is but a pale image next to the true power duo of the year. Shosuke and Minami. Though… Why does their class come complete with a Buddha student clone? Wasn’t one Buddha enough?

Meeting Shosuke, Ai experiences reverse Makoto. Falling in love with a Komi instead of a Tadano. Yeah. He is rather manly so I’ll give her that. Nice choice.

Then she meets Tadano Hitomi. One of the few humans that gives Freddy Krueger nightmares. Her reaction to Hitomi is… Revulsion. Anyway Hitomi ends up dragging Ai & Shosuke on a school tour. To The admiration of the class.

While in the tour? A strange small female bike gang shows up to assault Ai? Well it’s sometime during the day in anycase. They take a hostage… Why… And end up beating Ai.

Only to be confronted by Shosuke and his “voice” Hitomi. Who is still doing the ventriloquist act with him. Not that he’s easy to beat. The two female minions find him hard to land a blow on.

But while they’re distracted? Hitomi easily takes out the leader, saving the hostage. She then easily dispatched the two minions without them even realizing what is happening.

Will this slight misunderstanding (Ai being out cold missing Hitomi beating up the ladies) lead to love? Only future Volumes (and probably a theoretical Season 4) will answer that.

Now. It’s back to summer. It’s time to visit the family, including everyone’s favorite kinda shy niece. But this time Komi brother and sister are traveling on their own. How do they fare? Find out tomorrow! See you!

Yen Press Assorted Entanglements Volume 4 Review Chapter Ninety-Four Part 2 (Digital)

A Lot Of Pages Conveying Easily Summed Up Emotions.
So this didn’t take long after all. And next Chapter seems to wrap up Minami’s day with one more scene added. So that’s good right? Let’s get to it.

Minami goes to get job at the Pirate Bar, and does her job well. She mentions in her captions how she wants to see Iori while she works… Unless she drops by to drink, like in an earlier Volume.

At the end of work Iori is waiting for Minami, driving her out of town for a quiet dinner together on the outskirts of town. Just the two of them, dinner, and drinks. Booze for Iori.

This is about a dozen or so pages. I’ll just sum it all up. Minami wonders if she she break up with Iori, because she doesn’t feel like she’s a normal girl for Iori to fall in love with.

Iori sums up her feelings on this by admitting they’re not normal… After Minami criticizes Iori for all her worse than Miss Kobayashi habits. She concluded by saying if they’re freaks, then she’s glad they’re freaks together.

The scene is adorable. Even with the occasional jabs the two take at each other. Of the four couples in this title, they’re the only ones in a real fulfilling relationship.

Yes. Flaws, mishaps and imperfections included. They are the only pair of these four couples in a full on relationship. The rest? They’re still struggling to get a relationship really off the ground.

Anyway since Iori is too drunk to drive, Minsmi drives them home. Doesn’t matter if she can legally. It’s a good end to this extra long Chapter. Great. But we are not done yet.

Cute four page conclusion. Iori asks Minami, while drunk, if she loves Iori. Sex happens at the end. So… Yay. Anyway we are wrapping up Volume 4 soon. With Volume 5 coming this summer.

We return to Fly Me To The Moon this weekend. And when this ends we probably will dive back into… Komi? Maid? I’m still thinking of what’s next. Anyway see you tomorrow. Bye.

Just Because You Patterned Your Dates After Pretty Woman, Your Not Getting The Julia Robert Robert Redford Experience!
Apparently, when the spectre of Writer’s Block (not to be confused with the carpal tunnel syndrome relative Writer’s Cramp) strikes Heke? She calls Shinohara for help.

This time Shinohara actually suggests a solution (dining at a high end restaurant) that is her secretly taking Heke on a date. Nice, on paper…

Except Heke thinks it’s work, so she’s so bogged down in memorizing everything to break her block? She’s not actually dating Shinohara. So fail.

It’s not until they stop at a street food stall… How long do those things stay open in Japan?… Does it actually feel like a date. Ruined immediately because the series creator can’t stop reading us, only to draw short on these two.

Yeah. If these two actually become an item by series end? Color me surprised. Anyway cliche stereotyped overly expensive restaurant with micro portions. Lack of concrete attempts to push the romance forward. Watching them is… Sad and frustrating.

Monday we dive into a single long Chapter with Iori & Minami. Then we are nearly done with Volume 4. Before that? We wrap up She Loves To Cook She Loves To Eat Volume 3. Stay tuned.

Sometimes? Don’t Take The Advice Of The Bar Owner!
So here it is. The aftermath of Kujou being told to stay alone forever by the lesbian bar owner. Reconfigured to a kinder gentler advice by Kujou’s broken mind.

Apparently she and Sugimoto hang out everyday in her office. So Sugimoto is the first to learn that Kujou is about to give up her quest for a girlfriend.

Despite saying the opposite to Kujou? Sugimoto is quite angry with that decision. A thing that Kujou is seemingly oblivious to. So she decided to subtlety scold Kujou, goading her back into action.

Ultimately, however, this marks a major turning point in their presently non relationship. How? She decides Kujou needs a win in dating in order to have the courage to go on. So that’s the plan.

How will she achieve it? Go on a date with Kujou. This panicks Kujou. A teacher student date? But Sugimoto assures her that this is to give her a chance to decide for herself if she’s truly ready to give up. After she’s been in her first real date.

So this is it. Kujou & Sugimoto are moving forward. Awkwardly. Slowly. To continue this momentum? Tomorrow we see Shinohara finally go on a dinner date with Heke. As research.

Apparently the only way Heke can see Shinohara is either Shinohara chasing her down over deadlines, or Heke dragging Shinohara to get over writer’s block.

Get ready for a dinner date that might actually kick start a real relationship between Shinohara & Heke… Or not. Flip a coin, it could go either way. See you tomorrow. And hey. Maybe tonight we end Barbarella! Maybe. Stay tuned.

Taiyaki Fixes Everything!
So this one is short. Shiori is pissed off that Shizuku still wants Minami. Shizuku, bless her clueless mind, has no idea Shiori overheard her gushing about being with Minami.

HOW! She knew that Shiori was with her! She knew Shiori was just outside the front door listening in! How did she not anticipate this fallout!

They pass a Taiyaki place. She ducks in, buys Shiori a Taiyaki… That’s a fish shaped amazing baked great filled with bean paste or jam fillings. For starters.

Shiori mistakenly believed Shizuku is apologizing. Shizuku mistakenly believed that Shiori just wanted dessert. Nothing is learned from this experience. Ignorance reigns supreme. Moral? Eat Taiyaki. They sell traditional Japanese Taiyaki in your area? Buy it, and eat it. Lesson learned.

I’m done with my surgery. But I might have to return to do it all again for the lump on my back. Sigh. Stay tuned. Anyway tomorrow is more Assorted Entanglements. Meanwhile? It’s back to Barbarella.

Will she infiltrate Sogo? Will she confront DD? Will she boink with a wolf or a Feline… Oh wait no she donned a furry cat gse already. How much will we review before sex doesn’t happen? Again! BEAR!!

That’s tonight so see you then. Next after that? Hmm… Still planning that out. Anyway see you.

What Shizuku Said…
So this is a few parter. Shizuku has ended up at Iori’s being hosted by a flustered Iori. No Minami because she’s coming home from work… Eventually. Until then it’s Shizuku & Iori.

Apparently the only thing Iori can cook is curry. A fact Shizuku is well aware of thanks to Minami. If course we don’t know the situation, but considering Shizuku knows… Why her mistake?

Mistake? She says she hates Iori. Because if Iori never slept with Minami she would still be with Shizuku. Not a great thing to say. I’m front of the spying Shiori… Uhh… Iori didn’t notice that the front door never closed? And someone is spying on her.

This immediately bites Shizuku in her tail next chapfer. And she has no idea that Shiori overheard her going on about Minami with Iori. Oh. Minami catches Shiori dpying, and gets a death glare from her.

Yup. Definitely cranky as all hell after what Shizuku said. But ok. Anyway tomorrow we see the fallout of this little hitching from Shizuku. And Shizuku’s own carelessness as to why Shiori is mad.

Tomorrow is also my surgery. I’ll be back to work in plenty of time. The actual event is only a few hours and I’ll be back reviewing before you know it. Anyway it’s Barbarella time again tonight. See you later for part 2 of the review. See you.

Iori In The Human Kennel Again? What A Surprise!
It seems every other Iori & Minami chapter has Iori in some sort of trouble. Today it’s falling asleep without giving Minami a good night kiss.

To make up for her falling asleep, she buys sparklers. But that is not enough to get a full pardon from Minami. Though it’s simple. All she has to do… Is promise to light sparklers with Minami in 40 years.

That and stop trying to drink career alcoholic Miss Kobayashi under the table with her excessive drinking. Easy. Right? Or not so easy. The end of Chapter.

Cute little slice of life. If all the relationships… This one? Its… An actual relationship. The others? Who knows. Chapter filled maybe? Anyway it’s something. And your reading it. If you bought this.

Tomorrow it’s the affliction of bad words said by family in She Loves To Cook She Loves To Eat He (Editor) Loves To Trigger Warning. We will see the depth of the bad words… Tomorrow. Maybe.

Then it’s back to the foursome couples (an eightsome) that isn’t really as exciting as it sounds. Shinohara & Heke have an Editors meeting… And move their love nowhere. Sigh. Monday. See you.
