SMBSS Count Koopula Review

It’s Not Castlevania! It’s Turtlevania!
We are having a Dracula parody next up, where King Koopa (Bowser) is a tomato sauce drinking vampire. That’s fine. It’s for the kids so that’s fine.

Passing through the kingdom of Turtlevania, the gang is running low on food. But the Lord of the Castle Koopula, Bowser, wants to lure the four to his castle. Why? To destroy them/capture Peach.

Why? Because it’s expected by Bowser to do that. We have long since strayed away from the whole Koopa ruling the Mushroom Kingdom that started the series. Ugh. Ok. Fine.

A tomato sauce craving vampire bat thing steals Mario’s spaghetti rations, luring the four to Castle Koopula. Run by Mouser… I mean MousIgor. He locks the four up in their rooms.

Toad finds a way out of his room, and tries to gather up everyone so they can escape. But Bowser shows up to stop them. They try to flee but they end up in Bowser’s basement dungeon.

A dungeon where fresh tomato sauce (circa 1989… Thanks for saying yourself show) are being made by zombie goombas. Anyway the four are captured. And mildly tortured in a kinky way.

Bowser wants to turn Peach into a tomato sauce drinking vampire. Why? Is this to take control of the Mushroom Kingdom he’s supposed to already be in control of? Dunno. Not said.

Toad tricks MousIgor into freeing him. And this they decide to save Peach from being a vampire by eating garlic. They expose Bowser to sunlight and garlic breath, and he flees.

And that’s it. It’s a Dracula parody. Not a Castlevania parody by any stretch of the means… Maybe. Anyway next time the foursome heads into the Jungle. The Jungle? Really?

Does this mean that Donkey Kong will be in this episode? Who knows, but let’s see if he pops in or not. Stay tuned. See you.
